Career Specialties

Abby McElligott began her career in campus recreation working as a student employee while at the University of Idaho. She worked as a fitness instructor and in facilities and operations and fell in love with the world of campus recreation. After relocating to pursue her master's degree, she took the position of graduate assistant for fitness at Boise State University. That eventually transitioned into the coordinator for fitness position, which she upheld for three years. She is currently the assistant director of fitness at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê and is focused on student mentoring, and providing the tools to help students, faculty and staff make healthy lifestyle choices.

Professional and Community Activities

McElligott is a certified group fitness instructor and actively instructs several fitness formats. She is also a certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist and has been a NIRSA and IDEA attendee and volunteer.
