Career Specialties
Dee Dee Brumfield's main area of interest is veterinary toxicology with a specific focus in detection of drugs and toxins in the equine racing industry.
Professional and Community Activities
Brumfield is a member of the American Chemical Society, Ohio Valley Chapter of the Society of Toxicology and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA).
Brumfield co-leads annual medical brigades to Nicaragua to provide free advanced cardiac care to indigent patients. Through these trips Brumfield provides mentoring opportunities for health science majors interested in careers in medicine.
